The College Office
LINDSAY MORRIS - COLLEGE HEAD
I came to Trent in 2013 to fill the role of Campus and Co-Curricular Programs Coordinator in the Office of Student Affairs. Since then, I have happily made Trent and Peterborough my home. I have always had a passion for helping others through teaching which lead me to go to school to become an elementary school teacher. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Contemporary Studies from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Bachelor of Education from Nipissing University and while in school, my passion for teaching evolved into more non-traditional styles of teaching such as the work that I am lucky to do now. My favorite part of working at Trent has been meeting and talking with so many passionate students. There are so many areas to become involved on campus, and it’s always great to talk with people who are searching for, or have found their niche on campus. My door is always open to chat and learn from you! |
CHRISTINE FREEMAN-ROTH - ACADEMIC ADVISOR
I have been the Academic Advisor (formerly known as Senior Tutor) since 2009. I began teaching at Trent in the Philosophy department in 2004, and I have a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Waterloo. My areas of interest are the philosophy of education, applied ethics and moral and social philosophy. Recently my focus has been the connections between the arts and the sciences, ethical issues in advising and the ethics of polygamy. I have found a wonderful home here at LEC and the best part of my job is getting to know all of you! It is great to be here to help you figure out your first year, make a plan for your time at Trent and beyond. Please come by and visit me in the college office.
